Welcome to Issue 5.

This month, we have a collection of hardware projects for you, as well as our usual selection of programming articles and general operating tips.

We are proud to present an article by none other than Mike Cook, who designed several projects for The Micro User magazine. This magazine had a great influence on many of those who were fortunate to have access to a BBC Micro computer. Without the efforts of Mike and fellow authors, the young members of the Raspberry Pi Foundation may never have thought of building the Raspberry Pi.

We are still looking for volunteers to help with layout, as well as authors of new and exciting projects.

Ash Stone
Chief Editor of The Magpi

The MagPi is an online magazine dedicated to the Raspberry Pi, created by the community for the community. It's a great way to get to grips with learning how to program your Pi and how to get started on building hardware projects; it’ll also help you find out more about the community around the device and demystify the command line.
